My preschooler/astronaut-in-training loves this book! There's a lot of information in it, which could be overwhelming for very young children or kids who aren't particularly interested in the more technical aspects of space travel, but it's easy to pare down the material you actually read to fit the kid you're reading with. It's fun that there are two parallel storylines: the Apollo 11 moon landing mission, and the story of a young boy in 1969 who is excitedly following the action in the news and building his own small rocket. It does a nice job of capturing the excitement and sense of accomplishment surrounding the moon landing.
