How to Read the Dragon Masters Books
Read the 31 published novels in numbered order, beginning with Rise of the Earth Dragon. Each mission has a satisfying ending, but friendships, dragon powers, villains, and larger conflicts carry from one book to the next.
Griffith's Guide for Dragon Masters and The Epic Guide to Dragon Masters are optional reference books. Return of the Legendary Dragon is a Scholastic Book Clubs special, not a missing numbered adventure. Heart of the Ruby Dragon is announced as book #32 but is not included in the published count yet.

What Parents Should Know
The stories include magical battles, captured or threatened children and dragons, frightening monsters, and evil wizards. Danger is frequent, but injuries are not described graphically and the tone stays appropriate for early elementary readers.
Short chapters, quick plots, large type, and illustrations on every page make this a useful bridge into chapter books. Children who enjoy recurring characters will get more from reading in order, while each dragon-centered mission provides a clear sense of progress.
