Chloe Perkins is the editor and author of a few dozen books for children. She lives in New York City, with her husband, Rico, and their corgi puppy/sometimes shark, Marius. Growing up in a small town in Ohio, Chloe always dreamed of writing stories that could take kids on their own reading adventures, and she’s thrilled to be doing just that!
Hannah Eliot is a children’s book editor who lives in Manhattan, New York. Her favorite activities include editing (of course), writing, painting, and doodling all over every piece of notebook paper she uses.
Sandra Equihua is an illustrator, painter, and animated character designer. She was born and raised in Tijuana, Mexico. Her illustration clients have included Sony Pictures, McGraw Hill, WEA, Disney, WB, Nickelodeon, and the California State Fair. Her paintings have been exhibited in various galleries both in Mexico and the US. Equihua won an Emmy Award for her character designs on El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera (Nickelodeon), the highly-acclaimed animated television series she cocreated with her long-time collaborator and husband, Jorge R. Gutierrez. She also won an Annie Award for her character designs on The Book of Life (Dreamworks).
Archana Sreenivasan is an illustrator based in Bangalore, India. Her illustrations have been published in numerous magazines, children’s books, book covers, and comics. She studied animation film design at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, and participated in a summer residency at the School of Visual Arts in New York, where she studied illustration. She finds the natural world and people-watching most inspiring and is endlessly fascinated by cats.
Dinara Mirtalipova is a self-taught illustrator and designer. Born and raised in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, she studied computer science at the Tashkent State University of Economics, however her true passion was always pattern and illustration. Raised in Soviet Uzbek culture, Dinara’s artwork is greatly influenced by Uzbek and Russian folklore. Currently, Dinara works from her home studio in Sagamore Hills, Ohio. She uses a wide range of materials and tools, such as linoleum block, gouache, acrylic, and more.
Nívea Ortiz was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She earned the degree of Bachelor in Fine Arts with a major in Illustration from Pratt Institute in New York. Back in Puerto Rico, she began her professional career at the leading newspaper El Nuevo Día, illustrating covers and articles for the sections Por Dentro, De Viaje and De Moda. She collaborated in Dialogo, the University of Puerto Rico’s newspaper and in Caras fashion magazine. She also has a prominent career in the field of children’s illustration. Her clients include Simon and Schuster Publishing, Penguin Random House, La Editorial de la Universidad de P.R., Ediciones SM, Ediciones Santillana, McGraw Hill, Alfaguara Infantil-Juvenil, Ediciones Norte, El Nuevo Dia, Méndez & Co./ PR Heineken Jazz Fest, Taubman Co./ The Mall of San Juan. Her work has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators N.Y., the Publishers Association of the West, The Society of Newspaper Design and the Asociación de Fotoperiodistas de P.R. She was named winner of the “My San Juan Mural” 2015 contest held by The Mall of San Juan, PR’s premier shopping destination.
