    Linda Olafsdottir draws, paints, and writes from her home studio in in Reykjavík, Iceland. She has been nominated for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award and received Reykjavík’s Children’s Literature Award in 2016. Play? is her debut book as an author and illustrator.

    Kathleen Olmstead is the author of several Classic Starts books, including Anne of Avonlea and Moby Dick, as well as Jacques Cousteau: A Life Under the Sea and Matthew Henson: The Quest for the North Pole, both in the Sterling Biographies series. Linda Olafsdottir has a BFA from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts and an MFA in illustration for the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.     Francesca Rossi

    FRANCESCA ROSSI graduated from the Scuola Internazionale di Comics (International School of Comics) in Florence. She publishes illustrated books for a number of Italian publishers, and designs book covers and posters. In addition to her work as an illustrator, she conducts workshops in schools and libraries, as well as making and decorating pottery. Francesca has illustrated many books for White Star, including Classic Fairy Tales by Charles Perrault, Fairy Tale Adventures, Classic Fairy Tales by the Brothers Grimm, and Around the World in Eighty Days. Francesca lives in Italy.
