Can my class or school run a Bookroo book fair?

Step by step · Updated

Yes. A Bookroo book fair is online: students build wish lists of books ("registries") from catalogs you choose, family and friends buy from them, and your class earns cash back on every sale. Hosting is free and there's no minimum order.

Start a fair

  1. Go to bookroo.com/classrooms/book-fairs and click Get started.
  2. Under Create your book fair, choose For Teachers (one class) or For Librarians / PTOs (several classes).
  3. For a class fair, pick your class under Select your class, or fill in a name, grade and students.
  4. Click Create book fair. You land on your fair dashboard.

Your fair also appears on your Bookroo dashboard as a Book Fair card.

How the money works

  • Cash back: 10% of every sale goes to your fair's Cash Wallet. At 60 books sold it doubles to 20%. A partner class at your school can combine sales with yours to reach 60 together.
  • More as Book Cash: money moved from the Cash Wallet to the fair's Book Wallet is multiplied by 1.5. Anything left in the Cash Wallet after the fair is sent to you, usually by check.
  • A fair's wallets are separate from your class's Book Wallet.

Timing

We suggest running a fair for 10–14 days. When it ends, orders are processed within 3–5 business days, and books typically arrive within 10–14 days. Books shipped to your school or class address ship free.
