How to Read the Jack Blank Books

Read Jack Blank and the Imagine Nation, The Secret War, and The End of Infinity in order. Jack's origins, friendships, training, and connection to the invading Rüstov drive one continuous conflict toward the final battle.

The first story was retitled The Accidental Hero for its paperback edition. It is the same book as Jack Blank and the Imagine Nation, not a separate prequel or a fourth novel. Newer Imagine Nation graphic novels share the world but begin a separate series.

What Parents Should Know

The superhero adventure includes a harsh orphanage, bullying, robots and monsters, explosions, battles, weapons, infection and mind control, betrayal, imprisonment, character deaths, and the fear that Jack could become a villain. Loyalty, trusting friends, and choosing what kind of person to become give the action a steady moral center.
