How do I give a co-teacher access to my class?

Updated

Create an administrator link from your class's Roster page and send it to your co-teacher. When they open it and sign in, the class appears on their dashboard.

Steps

  1. Open your class and click Roster in the sidebar.
  2. Find the Administrators card and click Add administrator.
  3. Choose what they can do:
    • Edit (recommended): view class activity, make edits, and help students record reading.
    • View: view class activity only.
    • Admin: everything except deleting the class.
  4. Click Generate Link.
  5. Click Copy Link and send it however you like. Compose Email opens your own email app with a note already written.

Your co-teacher opens the link and signs in, or creates a free Bookroo account with their school email. That's it: the class now shows under Your places on their dashboard.

Good to know

  • The link expires after 7 days. If it lapses, generate a new one.
  • Bookroo doesn't email your co-teacher. Make sure the link reaches them.
  • To change or remove someone, click the … next to their name in Administrators, then choose Edit permissions or Remove administrator.
  • At a school on a school plan, your school's Bookroo admin can also add teachers to any class from the school dashboard. See Add teachers to your school.
