Your first week with Bookroo
Updated
A plan for going from an empty class to a class that's reading, in five short steps.
Day 1: Set up (10 minutes)
- Start a free class and add your students (Add students).
- On Roster, click Print QR Codes (K–3) or Print passcodes (How students sign in).
- Sharing the class? Give your co-teacher access.
Day 2: Students sign in
- Hand out the cards and have everyone sign in at bookroo.com/student-login.
- Each student records one book they're reading.
- Anyone stuck? See A student can't sign in.
Day 3: Set a goal
- Add one simple challenge, such as 100 pages a week or a class Team Quest (Create a reading challenge).
Day 4: Quizzes and points
- Decide whether points wait for a quiz (Require a quiz before points).
- Show students how to take a quiz when they finish a book (How Bookroo quizzes work).
Day 5: Tell families
- Send home the flyer from For Parents.
- If you like, send claim links (Connect a student to their family).
After that, check Overview once a week. It shows who's reading and who needs a nudge.
